THIS IS WHAT WE BELIEVE

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our faith is anchored in the eternal Word of God, centred on Jesus Christ, and lived through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. They are the supreme standard for faith, doctrine, and Christian living, revealing God's character, His plan of redemption, and His will for humanity.

Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105

2. God

We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who alone is worthy of all worship, honour, and glory. He is holy, righteous, just, merciful, loving, omnipotent, omniscient, and sovereign over all creation. God has revealed Himself throughout Scripture and has made Himself known through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5–6; Psalm 90:2

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, perfectly fulfilled the will of the Father, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world, was buried, rose bodily on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.

Key Scriptures: John 1:1–14; Matthew 1:18–23; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the promised Helper sent by God to convict the world of sin, lead people to repentance, regenerate believers, indwell them, empower them for holy living, distribute spiritual gifts according to His will, and equip the Church to fulfil the Great Commission.

Key Scriptures: John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12

5. Humanity and Sin

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God with inherent dignity and purpose. Through disobedience, sin entered the world, separating mankind from God and bringing spiritual death. Every person stands in need of God's grace and redemption.

Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

6. Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, made possible solely through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is received by grace through faith, resulting in forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, spiritual rebirth, and the promise of eternal life. Genuine faith produces a transformed life marked by obedience and holiness.

Key Scriptures: John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5

7. The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ, composed of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples of all nations, minister to one another in love, and demonstrate the Kingdom of God through faithful service and holy living.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 5:25–27; 1 Corinthians 12:27; Revelation 19:7–9

8. Baptism and Communion

We believe that water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward work of grace, identifying the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also observe the Lord's Supper as a sacred remembrance of Christ's sacrifice until He returns.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

9. Christian Living

We believe that every follower of Jesus Christ is called to pursue holiness, love God wholeheartedly, love others sacrificially, walk in humility, seek justice, extend mercy, and faithfully steward the gifts and resources entrusted by God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are continually transformed into the likeness of Christ.

Key Scriptures: Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25; Micah 6:8; Colossians 3:12–17

10. The Return of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to establish His everlasting Kingdom, fulfil all His promises, raise the dead, judge all humanity, and bring the purposes of God to completion. This blessed hope calls believers to faithful service, holy living, and joyful expectation.

Key Scriptures: Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18; Revelation 22:12

11. Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Those who belong to Jesus Christ will inherit eternal life in the presence of God, while those who reject Him will face eternal judgment. God will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells, and His redeemed people will worship Him forever.

Key Scriptures: John 5:28–29; Revelation 21:1–4; Daniel 12:2

Our Foundation

Everything we teach, every ministry we undertake, and every decision we make is founded upon the authority of Scripture and centred on the Lord Jesus Christ. Our desire is to glorify God, proclaim the Gospel, equip believers, and faithfully advance His Kingdom until Christ returns.

"To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." — Ephesians 3:21 (KJV)
